时装诞生之日，设计师用手中的画笔描画每一件潮流天衣。后来有了时装杂志，在插画师的妙笔生花下，时装变成简约华美的色块。到了上世纪最后20年，时装摄影师成为时装杂志的常客，用超现实的审美力拍下许多经典唯美的时装平面。步入新世纪后，时装品牌不再满足于静态美学，开始用动态的影像捕捉一幕幕精彩的时装光影。在定格时装的光影中，我们可以看到先锋建筑师、艺术家、设计师、图形创意工作室纷纷参与进来，用电影、短片、网络等动态形式表现时装的光鲜。当然，时装周还在上演，T台也不会成为历史，插画也不会被人遗忘，摄影师的奇思妙想还在继续，这也不禁让人联想，未来还会有哪种全新的实验途径，或者突破常规性的方式，给时装更多的表现力，并带给人绝对个性化的感受。
The March issue of i-D Magazine is coming out with 12 different Covers, the cover stars are Jourdan Dunn, Kate Moss, Susie Bick, Naomi Campbell, Stella Tennant, Eliza Cummings, Alice Dellal, Daisy Lowe, Twiggy, Yasmin Le Bon, Lily Donaldson & Agyness Deyn, The Best Of British shot by Sølve Sundsbø.
Conde Nast will launch a new biannual magazine in the UK called ‘LOVE‘ (blog), which will focus on luxury fashion and art, and will be helmed by Katie Grand, who Condé poached from Bauer Media’s Pop magazine. The slogan for the Magazine is Fashion & Fame, Beth Ditto is the first cover girl, she has un-covered and is featured totally naked, and this cover photo by Mert & Marcus. The first Spring Summer issue (Icons of our Generation) will hit newsstands on February 19 in conjunction with New York Fashion Week.
The 16th special issue of AnOther Magazine features actress Tilda Swinton as cover girl modeling some of Britain’s finest new fashion talent, including dresses by Peter Pilotto, Louise Goldin, Craig Lawrence and Mary Katrantzou, made solely for the issue (full digital version). Swinton can be seen not once but twice: wearing a cascading pink silk ribbon dress for the limited edition cover and a darkly sensual Mark Fast dress for the regular cover, and this issue is available only at Selfridges London store from February 12.
The concept of Famous Aspect is that of a classic fashion and art publication, with modern elements in edit, atmosphere and design. Aesthetically the magazine mixes high and low elegance. It is putting something glamorous and dramatic with something realistic. It features photo stories, essays and interviews on fashion, art, music and architecture. The second issue (cover below) is planned for release in Summer 2009.
