After 55 years in publication, America’s foremost design publication, I.D Magazine (not UK fashion title i-D) has folded. was the oldest product design magazine in the US (since 1954), its yearly design competition, the Annual Design Review, was the oldest and biggest design competition in America, and had been operating ever since ’s inception. F+W, ’s publisher, plans on continuing the event and publishing the results online. Meanwhile, ’s sister magazine print (The oldest design magazine in the US since 1940) will stay open.
