A new independent magazine based in London, Monika brings to mind Jop van Bennekom’s excellent RE-magazine project from several years ago, and contains items on culture, visual arts and creative writing and is written and produced entirely anonymously, the theme of the first issue is ‘The Anon’ which introduces ideas and perspectives on anonymity within culture and the arts. Monika is published bi-annually with 64 Pages.

Monika offers readers the chance to engage in content without the bias or endorsement a named author can often encourage. By removing identities, and critically perhaps, eliminating egos, one reads Monika with renewed openess to the content itself, and because of this we find it an altogether more enjoyable and stimulating read than most other magazines.
