The Canvas Magazine brings us a new feature focus on the future of Australian fashion. It’s an exciting time for Australian fashion as a new crop of talent create their own path. Each designer is aesthetically different but there are strong ties that bind each together: a skill and vision that defines the new face of Australian fashion.
The Colors 74 attempts to make a small contribution to dialogue and engagement betweeb Tibetan and Chinese People. This Victims (受害者) issue collected 30 photographs of the Sichuan earthquake and met 30 Tibetan monks around the world. Each monk composed a prayer inspired by one of these photos. Chinese writers – Acheng (阿城) and Yu Hua (余华) discuss Chinese reactions and social transformations follwing the tremendous quake.
All outfits by Miuccia Prada, in the latest “The 80′s Excess Issue”, six models (Agyness Deyn, Amber Mitchell, Naomi Campbell, Jourdan Dunn, Natalia Vodianova, Oluchi Onweagba) are featured in POP Magazine. This cover colletion are styled as ‘hot nuns’ and photographed by Sebastian Faena.
Chinese VISION Mgazine published a special issue in August 2008 and tied in with the 2008 Beijing Olympics, this Vision China issue acted as a completely unbiased Chinese contemporary art & design gallery. Taiwan’s fashion photographer Leslie Hsu “许熙正” shot a wonderful cover and photo story with Chinese superstar Zhou Xun “周迅”, and Zhou donned a special outfit designed by Chinese young fashion designer Xander Zhou “周祥宇”.
